Perkenalkan nama saya Rayyaan Jandiar Muhardi dengan NPM 2106654321. Saya adalah mahasiswa dalam kelas Numerical Method 05, disini saya akan membagikan apa yang telah saya pelajari dari kelas Numerical Method juga tugas - tugas yang telah diberikan.

SUMMARY 26 - 5 - 2023

Pada kelas Numerical Method kita diajarkan konsep "I am my consciousness", dimana konsep ini menunjuk kepada kenyataan dimana realita itu sangat jauh dari pemahaman manusia, dan apa yang telah kita capai sebagai sebuah komunitas hanyalah opini atau teori dari kebenaran dunia ini, bukanlah sebuah fakta. Otak kita akan membuat teori - teori untuk berusaha memahami apa yang kita pandang dari kenyataan, namun nyatanya dunia ini sangatlah luas, lebih luas dari pemahaman manusia. Contohnya seperti pada soal yang diberikan, (x^2-1)/(x-1) dimana x = 1, namun sebenarnya x bukanlah 1 tapi hanya sebuah pendekatan, x = 0.999999 atau x = 1.00000001 dan nilai dari persamaan tersebut akan mendekati 2 tetapi bukan 2.

Week 1 Progress

Designing a hydrogen storage system with a volume of 1000 liters of hydrogen at 8 bar pressure and costs less than 500,000 IDR can be challenging due to the safety and cost considerations associated with hydrogen storage. However it is possible by taking consideration on various factors, such as :

Material

Ideally we would want a material with high strength, good hydrogen permeation resistance, and compatibility with hydrogen gas. Options may include high-strength metals such as steel or aluminum, or advanced composites like carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP). But considering the cost have to be less than 500,000 IDR its better to make the tank from stainless steel which is highly cost efficient compare to material listed above.

Safety

Hydrogen is a highly flammable gas, so it's crucial to prioritize safety. Ensure the cylinder is designed for hydrogen storage and meets necessary safety standards. such as being able to withstand the pressure and exhibiting suitable chemical resistance. Implement a safety feature like a venting mechanisms, pressure relief valve and inspection ports to prevent over-pressurization and allow for regular inspections.

Valve and Regulator

Install a hydrogen-compatible valve and pressure regulator on the storage vessel to control the hydrogen gas flow.

Piping and Connections

Connect the storage vessel to the hydrogen supply or usage system using high-pressure hoses, fittings, and tubing suitable for hydrogen gas. Ensure all connections are properly sealed and leak-proof.

With all those consideration, here is a conceptual design of a hydrogen storage with 1000 liters of volume at 8 bar pressure with the most cost effective materials.
